Violet M. Heathcote

Violet Morley Heathcote is a British author who appears to have only written one book, a career pony story for older children about a girl who has left school and works at a number of horsy jobs. It is a hard book to find, especially in paperback, perhaps because almost all the copies have dropped to bits, as they appear to have been poorly bound. This is a shame as the paperback is far more attractive than the hardback edition. (The edition pictured is my paperback, also in a fragile state!)

Although there were both hardback and paperback editions the book is hard to find, with the paperback perhaps being even more elusive than the first edition.
